At Cuba its just DJCheesemaster (less of the cheese) and Man Like Benny doing half hour turns, I think we may be trying to pass ourselves off as the drunken masters.

Since the demise of Viva Las Vegas, Matt 'Da Funk' Rice has been sitting in the booth, keeping Thursday Nights rocking at Bar Cuba on Brightons seafront. He has now decided to step aside and a new team of DJs will step up to take control. We have, reading from the right Man Like Benny Playing mostly the kind of music you've come to know and accept from a Thursday night. | 5th March 1999 | Cheesemaster and Micky will be playing at the East Dulwich Tavern. It is a benefit for Amnesty International. There will be comedians on from 9PM to 11PM, then Mr Cheese and Mr Micky will then play until 1 PM. One of the acts is a kind of one man monologue type thingy called Hey Gringo. It started at the EDT this week. It is directed by Steve and is apparently very similar to a stand up act. Very good reports from Brian, it went down well in Edinburgh. One of the other comedians is fellow called Boothby who does a comedy guitar thing. He recently cracked it in America, has been funded cake topping (hundreds of thousands) for a pilot TV series. Success hasn't changed him much, he still lives with Jenny one of the barmaids at the EDT. The last comedian will be a surprise for you because I don't know who it will be. |

CheeseMaster will be cheesing it up at a SWP fundraiser at the FINISH, Lynton Road, Bermondsey SE1 on the 21st June. Start time will be about 8:00 PM, the end time will be later. That could be quite entertaining. Easy Listening, Communists and Bermondsey Boys. Think I'll take a bat and a helmet juston the safe side. Mickey and Sean with Blue eyes will also playing.
